Novartis Meetings

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting with veterinary practitioners and hospital managers in Long Island and New Jersey on behalf of Novartis Animal Health.  Both dinner meetings were well attended and gave rise to a number of discussions and debates about the legal consequences of breaches of veterinary professional ethics and some of the “hot topics” facing contemporary North American veterinary practices.    In addition, I met with the owners and management staff of a private companion animal clinic where we discussed the importance of obtaining and documenting informed consent to treatment - some very lively discussions took place.  Opportunities for open discussion on a number of topics only serve to enhance the profession and assist in setting a course for the future; I was very impressed with the insights of those in attendance.
